Bill provides the Sales & Marketing at OCE, including content management of the website – and may be contacted at his LinkedIn profile.
He has a BSME from Rochester Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering and an MA in Communications from Carnegie Mellon University. He has more than 20 years engineering experience, which includes supporting the Materials Research Division at Argonne National Laboratory, performing research, and developing material test protocols for submarine propulsion.
At General Electric, he supported the assembly, and vibration/ atmospheric testing of avionic equipment, and at Pratt & Whitney, he worked on structural analysis and test support of various components on the Space Shuttle Main Engines. As a Senior Engineer, he developed material design curves for military and aerospace applications.
At O’Donnell Consulting, he has provided engineering support in the development of ASME design curves and materials databases, and research into materials, including alloys and refractories.
He is also co-author of two publications:
- “Proposed New Fatigue Design Curves for Carbon and Low Alloy Steels in High Temperature Water” William J. O’Donnell, William John O’Donnell and Thomas P. O’Donnell, Proceedings of ASME PVP Conference, Technologies for Safe Efficient Energy Conversion, July 17-21, 2005, Denver, CO
- “Temperature Dependence of Reactor Water Environmental Fatigue Effects on Carbon, Low Alloy and Austenitic Stainless Steels” William J. O’Donnell & William John O’Donnell, Proceedings of the 2008 ASME PVP Conference, July 27-31, 2008, Chicago, IL.
