Practice Areas: Sales, Marketing, Engineering

I lead OCE’s content, digital presence, and business development — everything from the technical articles you’re reading on this site to the outreach that connects us with new clients. My background sits at an unusual intersection: a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, paired with an MA in Communications from Carnegie Mellon University. That combination means I can translate the firm’s deep technical work — ASME fatigue procedures, FEA methodology, Fitness-for-Service evaluations — into content that’s accurate enough for a practicing engineer and clear enough for someone encountering it for the first time.

Before focusing on communications and content strategy, I spent over 20 years in engineering roles that substantiate the Web Content & Technical Articles found in Engineering Collection of Articles.

I supported the Materials Research Division at Argonne National Laboratory, developing test protocols for submarine propulsion systems. At General Electric, I worked on assembly and vibration/atmospheric testing of avionic equipment. At Pratt & Whitney, I supported structural analysis and testing on Space Shuttle Main Engine components. As a Senior Engineer, I developed material design curves for military and aerospace applications.

At O’Donnell Consulting, that engineering foundation now shows up in the technical accuracy of our published work — including co-authoring two ASME papers on fatigue design curves for reactor water environments (full citations below). My current focus is making sure that expertise is discoverable, well-organized, and clearly communicated across our website and outreach.
