Seismic Analysis on Fire Protection Systems to Uniform Building Code

Seismic analysis was performed on a fire protection system for qualification to Section 132 of the Uniform Building Code (UBC) for a client that designs and installs such systems. The fire protection system included pumps, tanks, manifolds, piping, and a structural support frame. Finite element analysis was used to evaluate the stresses and deflections under seismic loading conditions.
