Failure Analysis of a Boeing 737 Flight Control System

Motor bearings on Boeing 737

We were asked to investigate the failure of a key component on a Boeing 737 flight control system. We determined that the primary cause of failure stabilizer trim motor was the life limiting nature of the motor bearings.
